Aims and Objects of the Society
a) To protect and promote the interests of the consumers of goods and services by whatever lawful means;
b) To organize consumers so as to enable them to secure, protect and preserve their interests and assert their rights as consumer of goods and services in the Society;
c) To take all measures necessary for the purpose of improving the quality and to hold the price line of all consumer products for the benefits of the general public;
d) To provide for, undertake, aid and promote the study and evaluation of consumer products and services;
e) To undertake consumer research to determine the needs of consumers and to circulate amongst interested persons information about the evaluation of consumer products and needs of consumers;
f) To coordinate the efforts of consumers and producers in devising ways and means for the improvement of materials, products, applications, processes and methods in respect of consumer products and services;
g) To foster the growth of local Consumers' Associations and help them in seeking a common bound of interest and work with the society and to affiliate them with the Society;
h) To hold meetings and arrange exhibitions, lecturers, seminars, discussions and conferences on the subject of consumer interest;
i) To represent consumer interests on any bodies, including Government Bodies or Committees, Conferences of other Organizations;
j) To provide a forum for mobilizing public opinion and take all lawful means of securing and protecting the rights of buyers of goods and services in the matter of prices;
k) To provide for, undertake, aid and promote, testing, investigation and research, in such a manner as the Society may deem advisable, with the object of studying and evaluating consumer products and services;
l) To establish and maintain Libraries, Museums and Laboratories for research and testing work;
m) To undertake and evaluate research or conduct study committees, forums, branches and units of the Society for the proper and efficient conduct of the activity of the Society and to bring out publications for consumer education;
